🧨 It's a Star Spangled Release

Today at Taylored Expressions we're celebrating America 🇺🇸

with tons of fun new products to create cards for our Service Members, birthdays in the month of July, to celebrate the United States of America and more!

To get started I'm sharing a super cute card I created using the new shop addition, Gus & Gertie - 4th Of July stamp and die set (originally a GWP May 2023) along with the beautiful Hang On Stars die set.

I used several of the stars to cut out then inlay in the main card panel then used the "waffle" star in Blueberry, Bleu Cheese, Cherry Pop and Toffee card stock to adorn the card on the top and bottom. Then of course the main character is front and center while Gertie wears the Statue of Liberty crown and fly's the American flag. You can find a list of the products I used at the bottom of this Blog post.

Next up is a card I used the Hang On stamp set originally released with the Valentine's products in January 2024 and 'hung' multiples of stars from the new Hang On Stars die set. I cut these stars out of Blueberry, Cherry Pop, Watermelon, Lemon Meringue, Toffee and Cotton Candy card stock.

For that back frame piece I used the sparkly, new TE Fun Foil in Blue Stars & Sparkle then grabbed a sentiment from the newly released Americana Expressions stamp set. Don't you just love all the detail in these new stars?!? I love stars just as much as I love flowers and hearts so know I'll be using this set often ⭐️

For my next card I got in touch with my 'inner Heather' and did a Toffee based card using the newly released Americana Split 6x6 Background stamp w/ Blueberry and Watermelon inks.

Then for the stacked sentiments I used the Taylored Expressions Mini Strips - Patriotic stamp set and cut them out using the Mini Strips - Flag die. And to embellish my card I used the new American Flag die with Blueberry and Cherry Pop cardstock. Hit it with splatter then this one is completed. NOTE: Do your splatters before adding the sentiment strips. Some of those globs of white splatter wreaked havoc on a couple of my sentiment strips ... 😑

And just for fun I wanted to play with the Mason Jar die set so created this simple "Thinking Of You" card.

For this one I used a piece of velum and inked it up with some Sea Salt ink, set that aside to dry overnight. Next I had some leaves left over from a card I created during the Alpha Bits card kit release using the Picked Posies set and made a Lotus-type flower out of them. Using that same set I used the leaf stamps to create the leaf background then cut a stem out of Cilantro cardstock. There are so many cute cards out there using Mason Jars so I hope you have fun making something with yours!
