This is my Birthday month and I LOVE flowers in my garden and on my cards so I'm going to focus on creating at least 1 floral card each day and uploading it to my Instagram. As I create these cards I'll tag each Blog Post with Month Of Flowers so you can find them easily. Be sure to check back throughout the month to see what I've created. If you're subscribed to my Blog you'll get a daily email of my latest entry! 🌼
💕 May 7th Entry: Pocketful of Daisies
Who doesn't love a bunch of yellow flowers!?! 🌼They're so bright and cheery and paired so perfectly with the new Pocketful die (released in the Taylored Expressions store this week).
For this fun floral card I found this black floral background in my stash of backgrounds that I had made at some point in the past when I spent the day making backgrounds so this card will come together real quick!
This background was made using the Taylored Expressions In Bloom background stamp with VersaFine Clair ink.
NOTE: When I spend time just making backgrounds on days my creativity
is a little low, I always write on the backs what inks and products I used.
The pocket was cut using the new Taylored Expressions Pocketful die which just released this week. I traced along the stitches with a DecoGel white gel pen to enhance the stitching around the pocket, then hit it with some Dr. Ph. Martin's bleed proof white splatter before adhering it to the floral card panel.
And like yesterdays' card, I used elements from the All Planned Out 1 die set for the scalloped edge and floral pieces.
I had a bright yellow panel in my stash that I had smooshed using 3 different TE yellow inks so used it to cut the scalloped edge and all of the yellow flowers.
I grabbed the TE Mini Strips - Hello Summer sentiment set and masked off the HELLO for the pocket tab, then used the sentiment die from All Planned Out 1 to cut it to the perfect size before adhering it to the side of the pocket.
For the inside I used some TE Black Fun Foil on a panel from the Happy Occasions Insiders , tossed on a leftover flower and a cut-off piece from the front floral panel to zhuzh it up and this one's done!
Once again, this card came together super quick because I used 2 panels I had created and stashed away! Love having those around for quick cards!
Be sure to stop by tomorrow to see the fun card I created to share with you!
Happy crafting!
xoxo, Deby 💕
