🌸 May ... A Month of Flowers

This is my Birthday month and I LOVE flowers in my garden and on my cards so I'm going to focus on creating at least 1 floral card each day and uploading it to my Instagram. 💕 May 19th Entry: Mini Slim Pink Posies

I believe the Taylored Expressions May Challenge is a mini slim card so for today's Month Of Flowers I used the large flowered Picked Posies dies to create this mini slim card.

This one was fun to put together and really came together pretty quickly. I guess you could go so far as to call me a paper hoarder. I keep every scrap that I think I can cut even the smallest flower or heart out of so for this card I grabbed all the Cupcake pieces out of my container whether plain or embossed or inked with a background stamp. I keep these colored cardstock scraps stored away in one of the Taylored Expressions Simple Storage containers and refer to it on almost every card I make.

Using the Taylored Expressions Quick Reference magnet (I think we got that in one of the Advent Calendar bags or at a Virtual Stamp Joy event 🤷🏼‍♀️) so I could cut my card front and base the correct size.

Next I used my Scor-Buddy to create the corrugated design on the Sugar Cube piece then splattered it with some Gansai Tambi gold splatter. Then came the fun part! Cutting the flowers and leaves out of my scraps! For those flower centers I grabbed a die from the TE Layer-It Sunflowers die set.

It was time to assemble my card so layed all the pieces out then adhered them. Knowing I wanted a simple sentiment I used the Building Blocks - Happy Additions sentiment set and used the Happy and the Birthday pieces after cutting them out with the Building Blocks Die.

To finish this one off I thoughtfully placed 3 Clear Drip Drops then this one was complete!
