This is my Birthday month and I LOVE flowers in my garden and on my cards so I'm going to focus on creating at least 1 floral card each day and uploading it to my Instagram. As I create these cards I'll tag each Blog Post with Month Of Flowers so you can find them easily. Be sure to check back throughout the month to see what I've created. If you're subscribed to my Blog you'll get a daily email of my latest entry! 🌸
💕 May 24th Entry: Delightful Daisy
I've missed a few days because something called 'work' got in the way so I'll make up for it with presenting a trio of cards for you today using the Taylored Expressions Delightful Daisy stencil so let's get started!
I first looked through my myriad of TE stencils looking for something floral, of course! Next I chose 3 colors of Taylored Expressions inks and of course it includes a variation of pink 🩷🌸🌷🎀 I knew I wanted a coordinating piece for at least one of the cards so chose the Taylored Expressions Bokeh Circles Layering Stencil set.
Next up I inked up a 6" x 6" panel of each set of stencils using Mango, Strawberry and Bubblegum inks. I love the organic orange that these inks create when they meet up!
Once the ink had settled onto the cardstock on the Daisy panel I sprayed it with TE Unicorn Mist for an extra bit of bling then set it aside to dry.
In the meantime I drew up a layout for 3 cards (sorry, I forgot to save the photograph of the sketch and it's already been tossed into the dumpster), then I cut the panels in the appropriate sizes for those designs.
Next I perused through my bins of embossing folders to find something that would give some fun dimension to one of the backgrounds. I chose another stencil for the second background panel then used my Scor-Buddy for the third.
I grabbed my jar of Dr. Ph. Martin's bleed proof white and splattered the embossed panel as well as the stenciled panel then set them aside to dry.
Using the TE Itty Bitty - Everyday sentiment set, I chose my greetings and got those stamped, heat embossed with VersaFine Nocturne pigment ink and TE Clear Fine Detail Embossing Powder then cut each one out to fit each card.
Using some Mango cardstock scraps I cut foundational squares for 2 cards and 2 strips for the other.
Now it's time for assembly and to add a little somethin-somethin I added some 0.8mm white cord to 2 of the card panels to add a little more visual interest.
Here's a closer look 👀 at each card. Let me know which one is your favorite! 🤩
I appreciate you stopping by today and hope you'll come back tomorrow to see the fun card I've created for you!
Happy crafting!
xoxo, Deby 💕
