This is my Birthday month and I LOVE flowers in my garden and on my cards so I'm going to focus on creating at least 1 floral card each day and uploading it to my Instagram. As I create these cards I'll tag each Blog Post with Month Of Flowers so you can find them easily. Be sure to check back throughout the month to see what I've created. If you're subscribed to my Blog you'll get a daily email of my latest entry! 🌸
💕 May 10th Entry: Happy Half Sheets w/ Bits & Blooms
I have lots of cards to share with you today so let's get started!
If you attended Taylored Expressions Virtual Stamp Joy this past February, you are one of the lucky recipients of the Bits & Blooms stamp and die set as well as the Happy Half Sheets maps showing 5 different ways to cut a half sheet of cardstock to create 5 different cards each. I love this concept because it really doesn't take much more time to create a half sheet as it does a quarter of a sheet for 1 card. I used both of these product to create this batch of cards for you today.
To create the floral background I used Taylored Expressions Pineapple, Blue Raspberry, Confetti Cake, Lime Zest & Cilantro inks. I got this ink grouping idea from Susan Block's My True Colors Inspiration Card for the Birthday Blowout card tutorial she did in April.
For this first card I used the On The Block Happy die set, the On Repeat - Birthday stamp, and the fun Sentiment Strip Duo die (photos below).
For this pretty little Thanks card I used the Signature Thanks die and the Flower Power embossing folder (retired).
While I'd like to say this one's my favorite, I cannot tell a lie ... they're all my favorite but this one has my heart because of that adorable Stitched w/ Love cutting plate paired with the larger of the Postage Stamp dies. This one is topped with the Get The Word Out - Hello stamp & die set.
While I was deciding on sentiments for these cards a friend called to order some Mother's Day cards from me so I changed what I was going to use on this one and grabbed the Folk Art - Mom dies then added a sentiment from Simple Strips sentiment stamp set, added a heart-felt Insider panel and this one is complete!
And for the 5th card and final card of the day I needed a Birthday Card for a special friend and while it's hard to see the Bold Birthday sentiment in the photo, it stands out in person. I grabbed one of the cute flower stamps from the Bits & Blooms set to embellish the bottom portion, foiled and added one of the Insider - Birthday Wishes to the inside and this one is ready for the mail. 📬
Okay that was a lot of reading but that's a lot of cards too 🙂! I've included product photos for you below so it'll jog your memory as to whether you have them or not. Some of the items I'm using on these Month Of Flowers cards throughout May were offered as Gift With Purchase and/or have been retired so are no longer available but you may have them in your stash and if not I'm confident you can find something similar to use instead.
Thanks for hanging with me for a bit today! Hope your day is amazing!
xoxo, Deby 💕
