🌼 May ... A Month of Flowers

This is my Birthday month and I LOVE flowers in my garden and on my cards so I'm going to focus on creating at least 1 floral card each day and uploading it to my Instagram. 💕 May 14th Entry: Garden Variety 1 & 2

For today's Month Of Flowers I used a foil panel from the ROYGBIV set and a few other fun Taylored Expressions elements so let's get started!

I knew I wanted a foiled background so went thru my stash and landed on the ROYGBIV set of foil-it panels and found this cute one with clouds and stars. This one is foiled using DecoFoil Denim, then I used a yellow acrylic marker to fill in the stars.

Next I grabbed one of my favorite stamp sets ... Hold My Blooms! This is such a fun set to use so if you haven't added it to your stash yet, you might want to get that in your cart next time you're shopping on the Taylored Expressions site!

I used Lime Zest ink on the entire stamp then did some shading using Dill Pickle with my detailed blender brushes to add some depth and shading.

I had some of these flowers left over from a previous project then grabbed more scrap pieces of Potato Chip and Lemon Meringue to cut more flowers. I used both the original Garden Variety and the Garden Variety 2 die sets for all the floral images.

When it was time to assemble everything I felt it still needed something so to zhuzh it up I grabbed the Corrugated embossing folder (retired) and put the card base thru my Big Shot to get that fun pattern on the card base.

The sentiment is from the Taylored Expressions Mini Strips - Floral set. So many fun sentiments in that set!

And finally I grabbed a white and yellow acrylic pen to add some dots in the flower centers and this one is complete!
