🌺 May ... A Month of Flowers

This is my Birthday month and I LOVE flowers in my garden and on my cards so I'm going to focus on creating at least 1 floral card each day and uploading it to my Instagram. As I create these cards I'll tag each Blog Post with Month Of Flowers so you can find them easily. Be sure to check back throughout the month to see what I've created. If you're subscribed to my Blog you'll get a daily email of my latest entry! 🌼

💕 May 15th Entry: Beautiful Blossoms

For today's Month Of Flowers entry I decided to do a monochromatic card using the newly released Taylored Expressions Green Tea cardstock and ink and one of my favorite leaf dies. To see how I put this one together let's get started!

For the floral element in this one I used the Beautiful Blossoms stamp and die set. This set comes with leaf dies but I wanted to use something different so grabbed the Mosaic Beech Leaf dies.

The flower was stamped using Green Tea ink then die cut. The mosaic leaves were cut using Green Tea card stock.

This is what happens when you have a picture in your mind of how you want your card to look then as you cut items and try coloring them and laying them out ... pivot, then pivot then pivot again. Also known as Craftermath or in this case it was more like in-process CrafterMess 😂 Sometimes I think if I don't have a total disaster on my desk I didn't use all of my creative ability 🤣 (gotta make myself feel better somehow, right!)

For that back card panel I used the Weathered embossing folder (retired) then ran it through my Big Shot to flatten the design so it didn't take away from the floral design. I actually do this quite often. I love embossing folders but sometimes they're a little too "loud" so I put them under the embossing folder and run it through my die cut machine again.

For the frame I used the A2 Layering Stacklets and the Additional A2 Layering Stacklets with a piece of Green Tea cardstock. Then for the sentiment I used the Drop A Note sentiment set and inked with Green Tea then cut with the coordinating die.

To finish this one off I placed 5 clear Drip Drops around the flower and sentiment and this one is done!

I appreciate you stopping by today and hope you'll come back tomorrow to see the fun card I've created for you!

Happy crafting!

xoxo, Deby 💕
