Today's Featured Card is ...

Tone-On-Tone ~ Merry & Bright

Anyone that knows me knows I love lots of dimension, layers and movement in my cards. With our latest projects being Christmas based and with the addition of the new Jalapeño color I was inspired to do some embossing with the beautiful Holly embossing folder and a few acrylic pens to make this beautiful tone-on-tone card. The centered sentiment is on a piece of vellum which photographs as a white piece of card stock, so unfortunately you can't see the beauty this card offers so use your imagination 😉 and know that the pretty holly and berry design can be seen underneath the sentiment in person. Read on to get the details on how I put this card together. Enjoy!

This little beauty was made with the Holly embossing folder onto the new Jalapeño color card stock then by rubbing the matching Jalapeño ink pad over the raised areas. I then took gold and red acrylic pens to highlight some of the berries throughout the card. I heat embossed the sentiment with gold embossing powder onto some velum then applied a TE open scallop circle cut from Jalapeño card stock over top. And to finish the card I cut a thin frame out of fold foiled card stock.
