🪴 Let It Grow ~ Valentine

It's no secret how much I adore the Love Grows Here card making kit. Anyone that knows me knows I have a house full of plants and love to garden so when this kit was released in May 2023 I HAD to have it and as soon as I got my hands on it, I fell hard in love with it. SO, when I saw the Valentine addition to the Love Grows Here kit I was thrilled 🩷

I've already made several cards using the Let It Grow - Valentine items and will be sharing one of them with you here so let's get started!

🪴 First up is my Let It Grow - Valentine pink card.

I started by grabbing my large misti along with the Linen Background Stamp as well as the Splatter BackGround Stamp. I eyeballed where to place the stamps so I created about a 1 inch border on the left side of my top card base. I did this by using Cupcake ink with the Linen stamp then followed up with the Splatter stamp on top of the Linen stamping.

For the plant pot embellishments I mixed a few drops of Strawberry Reinker with some Ranger Texture Paste - stirred it like cupcake icing - then spread it over the stencil to create those fun little hearts on the pots.

I had some 'shelf' pieces left over from the original Love Grows Here kit release so used them on this card. To create them I used some toffee card stock and stamped it with mocha ink using the Wood Plank Background Stamp.

To create the plants I used Key Lime & Dill Pickle inks

Lastly I assembled the card using the pots and plants that fit the layout design I had in mind.
