🩷 Love Letters
Sometimes pictures don't do a card justice and that's the case with this one. It is simply beautiful in person.
My first thought was to use crumpled-up paper in my card because ... well, the last time I wrote a love letter it took a few tries to get the wording right so had a few that got scrunched up and thrown away. That's how my top card base piece was created .... dampening a piece of sugar cube card stock and scrunching it up in my hands as tight as I could get it then unfolded and flattened it out. I liked the way it turned out so it became the top layer for my card!
Next came writing the cute little love letters with the help of the new Taylored Expressions Love Letters stamp set. No need to spend hours trying to find the right words to express yourself here!
Using the larger of the two new mini envelope dies I cut a couple of mini envelopes and masked the flap off with 1/8" masking paper then stamped them using the Taylored Expressions Flap Flair stamp with Strawberry Milkshake ink just to zhoosh it up a little and added a few sparkly pink hearts on the inside!
To assemble my card I cut a piece of Lollipop card stock using my Tim Holtz deckle trimmer as well as the scrunched piece of sugar cube card stock. Splattered the sugar cube piece with gold splatters, then for added dimension used the new Lots Of Love embossing folder on a 5-1/2" x 4-1/4" piece of sugar cube. Put it all together and this pretty little Valentine's card is ready to share with a loved one.
Hope I've inspired you to shop the new Taylored Expressions Valentine's release to create cards for all of your loved ones this Valentine's Day 🩷💜🩷
