šø Happy First Day of Spring! āļøš¹š±š·
The verb 'spring' means to leap or bounce up suddenly, which is what the Earth š does when the weather starts to warm up and thaw out. Grass and flowers start to pop up out of the ground and trees start to bloom! I š©·Loveš©· this time of year!!! And to celebrate I dug thru my crafty stash and landed on the Taylored Expressions Petal Prints card making kit that was released in August of 2023 to make this brighty & Springy card.
To make these sparkly flowers I started by grabbing the Taylored Expressions embossing powders in Cookie Monster, Lollipop & Jelly Donut and double heat embossing scrap pieces of Sugar Cube cardstock to get a deep-set color on each piece of cardstock.
Next I used VersaMark and my Misti tool to stamp the floral design onto the color embossed scraps then heat set it using white embossing powder. I repeated this step 2-3 times until I got a solid white floral design.
Using the circle dies that come with the Petal Prints cardmaking kit I cut the flowers out as well as the flower centers using some TE Yellow Glitter Cardstock then set them aside.
Next I stamped the Petal Prints stamp onto my panel using Dill Pickle ink and followed that up with TE Unicorn Mist & Silver Gansai Tambi for splatters on the back panel before adhering the flowers and sentiment to the card panel.
Finally, I used Dill Pickle cardstock to create the scalloped layer then adhered it all to a card base!
And there you have it! A bright and fun card to send to a friend who might need a little Spring in their step today!
Thanks for stopping by! I hope this brought thoughts of warmer weather to you today āļøš·
xoxo, Deby š
