Creating a fun Birthday card with the NEW Drop Shadow stencil and showing a masking technique to create a stenciled frame around the shadowed HAPPY.
I first inked the stencil onto my card front using Blue Raspberry ink then slightly shifted the stencil to the left to create an ever so slight shadow to the HAPPY letters because I intended to use the drop shadow stencil alone - not with the Alpha Bits die cut letters.
I then impressed the card front with the new Wavy Stitch Stacklet. Next I drew the shape of the Wavy stacklet onto a piece of masking paper then fussy cut that out. I lined the masking paper over the HAPPY stencil and lined it up with the Wavy stitching on the card front.
Next I grabbed the Bokeh Circle stencils and ink blended over the entire card front then removed the masking paper to reveal this fun, bright background framing the HAPPY sentiment.
I grabbed some paper scraps and used the Party Time dies to cut out a party hat then added the Birthday sentiment. Adhered that to a panel I embossed using the Birthday Blowout 3D embossing folder with Lemon Meringue card stock to give the card a little more dimension.
Adhered that to a card base and this bright and happy Birthday card is ready to put in the mail to that special birthday girl or boy!
Hope you are inspired to get out your stencils and make something fun today!
Thanks for stopping by ☀️
