Today's Featured Card is ...

Gnome Alone Santa

I had so much fun putting this card together with the Gnome Along - Santa die set from Taylored Expressions! I mean ... who doesn't love a gnome dressed as Santa!!!???!!! I think he's so dang adorable!

For starters, I grabbed a piece of Sugar Cube card stock and put it through my Big Shot with the Snowfall embossing folder to create some dimension and movement.

Next I spritzed some Unicorn Mist onto some Sea Salt and Watermelon card stock for Santas hat and trim pieces. While that's drying I cut his mittens from a scrap piece of Jalapeño card stock, his nose and Santas bag from a scrap piece of Toffee card stock, his face/beard from a plain piece of Sugar Cube, the body from a scrap piece of Watermelon card stock, his belt and shoes from a piece of Glossy Black card stock, and his buckle from a piece of Gold foil card stock. To give his nose a little dimension I grabbed a bitty blender brush and my toffee ink pad and put a little shading around the top part of that piece.

I wanted Santas bag to have some depth so grabbed my Cable Knit embossing folder and ran that piece thru my Big Shot then hit the edges with some Toffee ink using a bitty blender brush.

Next I had to use the string of lights from the Gnome For The Holidays set. Honestly, when I saw that string of lights I knew it would just have to go onto a card with the Gnome Alone!!! Anyway, get that Unicorn Mist out again for the string of lights and spritz it onto a piece of Oyster, Dill Pickle, Snow Cone, Lemon Meringue and Watermelon card stock. Set those aside to dry.

Let's get that Santa done! Grab those spritzed pieces of Sea Salt and Watermelon card stock and cut Santas hat, the 2 trim pieces and the tie piece for Santas bag then assemble them.

I chose a sentiment from the Jingle All The Way sentiment set. I inked it up using my Misti then heat embossed it with clear embossing powder and cut it out with the coordinating dies.

Using the lights die cut out a few of each color you spritzed a while ago then adhere them to the string of lights.

With everything cut and spritzed, you're all ready to put your card together! I had a couple of presents and candy canes left over from cards I created using the All Together - Holiday stamp and die set from the Holiday Release in September and they worked perfectly on this Gnome Alone Christmas card!

Can't wait to see the card you put together using these fun elements! Be sure to upload your designed cards to the Fans of Taylored Expressions FB page and tag me. I'd love to see what you do ❤️!
