Whimsical Wings . . .

It's the last Tuesday of the month and that means it's Card Making Kit Release Day at Taylored Expressions!!! This months card kit is themed around the magical and whimsical moth! Did you know there are some 160,000 species of moths in the world, compared to 17,500 species of butterflies? In the United States, there are nearly 11,000 species of moths. Moths and butterflies share the same basic biology and have far more similarities than differences. You could say that a moth is just another kind of butterfly… I'm a little bit of a nerd and love to research things and found an entirely different respect for these little creatures after looking into them a little deeper! Anyway, let's get started on some crafty chat and creations!

This months card kit is called Whimsical Wings and features some very pretty and ornate moths that make some amazingly beautiful and thoughtful cards. Here are a few that I've created for you.

💚 Whimsical Wings ~ Lush Greenery Birthday card: I just love the new Lush Greenery background stamp! I think it'll be one I grab for often! On this card I used 2 different inks to get that highlighted center.

💚 Whimsical Wings ~ Masked Panel card: For this card I ripped a piece of "typing paper" to create a wonky-shaped mask to cover the sentiment on the Whimsical Wings Insiders Panel before inking up the panel with the Lush Greenery background stamp. While I love using foil on cards, it sure is difficult to photograph! So in your minds eye, see this sentiment in all its sparkly, silver glory!

🩷 Whimsical Wings ~ Bricked Hugs card: And of course there's more of my signature pink! I honestly don't think I can ever not use pink with a release! Pink just makes my heart happy 🩷 This card came together really quickly because I used a leftover panel piece from another project! Grabbed one of my favorite embossing folders (Brick) and within minutes had this little beauty done!
